Kirby Hall is a beautiful Elizabethan house dating from 1570 - a real jewel of English Renaissance. Although barely more than an uninhabited and ruinous shell, this fine house still displays many of the ornate external features that formed part of the original building. The house was inhabited for nearly 200 years by the Hatton family.

Rockingham Motor Speedway is the first and only American oval race circuit in Europe hosting many different attractions from NASCAR and Superbike racing to pop concerts. The race track is open to the public on non race days. You can enjoy a lunch at the race track restaurant. If you are lucky you may see some high speed practice sessions.

Althorp has been the stately home of the Spencer family for the best part of 500 years and is the resting place of Diana, Princess of Wales. It was built 1508and there are 19 rooms in the house open to the public displaying a fine collection of artwork including furniture, pictures and ceramics.

Lamport Hall was the home of the Isham family from 1560 to 1976. The first house was built by John Isham, a younger son from a Northamptonshire family, who made his fortune as a merchant.
